About This Site

Who we are

OffGridBackyardBlueprint.com is an independent website about backyard self-sufficiency and off grid living on small lots. We write about growing food, collecting water, and making power on a quarter acre or less.

Why we recommend this book

We point readers to The Self-Sufficient Backyard by Ron and Johanna Melchiore because it is built for small properties, from a windowsill up to a quarter acre, and lays out its projects step by step with photos and drawings. The authors have lived off the grid since the late 1970s.

What we are not

We are not the publisher or the authors of the book, and this is not the official site. We do not sell the book, take orders, or handle payments. Our links take you to the authors' own page.

How we make money

This site is an affiliate site. If you buy through one of our links, we may earn a commission from the product creator at no extra cost to you. Orders, payments, shipping, and refunds are handled by the vendor through Digistore24. See the Affiliate Disclosure for details.
